Account

How do I create an account?

Download Mahjy from the App Store, then sign up with your email, Apple, or Google account. You'll verify your phone number to complete setup.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. You can also email support@mahjy.com to request deletion.

I can't log in to my account

Make sure you're using the same sign-in method you used to create your account (email, Apple, or Google). If you're still having trouble, email us at support@mahjy.com.

Subscriptions

How does the free trial work?

New users get a free trial with full access to the app. When the trial ends, you'll need to subscribe to continue using interactive features like RSVPs and event creation. You can still browse events without a subscription.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through the Apple App Store. Go to your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions > Mahjy, then tap Cancel. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

How do I request a refund?

Subscription refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to submit a refund request.

Events

I don't see any events near me

Mahjy is currently available in Austin, TX. We're expanding to more cities soon. Make sure location permissions are enabled so we can show you nearby games.

When do I get the event address?

For privacy and safety, exact event addresses are revealed 24 hours before the event starts, or when the host approves your RSVP. Until then, you'll see the general area.

What is the refund policy for paid events?

Cancellations 48+ hours before the event receive a full refund. Cancellations 24-48 hours before receive a 50% refund. Less than 24 hours before, no refund is available. If a host cancels, you automatically receive a full refund.

Safety

How do I report a user?

Tap on the user's profile and select Report. You can also report users from event screens. We review all reports and take appropriate action.

How do I block someone?

Tap on the user's profile and select Block. Blocked users won't be able to see your profile or interact with you on the platform.

I feel unsafe at an event

Leave the situation immediately. If you are in danger, contact local law enforcement or call 911. You can report the incident to us afterward through the app or by emailing support@mahjy.com.

Hosting

How do I set up payouts for paid events?

Go to your profile and tap "Set up payouts" to connect your Stripe account. Payouts for paid events are processed by Stripe directly to your connected account.

How do I cancel an event I'm hosting?

Open the event from your dashboard and tap Cancel Event. All attendees will be notified. If the event was paid, all ticket holders will receive a full refund automatically.
